I Look To You
Album released October 19th 2009
MySpace FacebookThe new album from Whitney Houston, 'I Look To You', will be released on 19th October to coincide with the superstar's next visit to the UK.
On 'I Look To You', her first studio album since 2002, Houston has once again teamed up with her longtime collaborator, the legendary music business executive Clive Davis. 'This album has more elements than any other Whitney album and that has made it very exciting to work on', says Davis. 'Almost every song is a candidate for a single.'
Previewed by Davis and Houston last month at an exclusive global playback in London - to an astonishing audience reaction - 'I Look To You' features an array of A-list writers and producers. Soul music pioneer R Kelly wrote title track 'I Look To You', a classic - and rather poignant - Whitney ballad. Hit-machine Stargate, responsible for Beyoncé’s 'Irreplaceable' and Jordin Sparks' 'No Air' amongst many other recent hits, wrote the contagious uptempo cut 'Call You Tonight.' Songwriting royalty Diane Warren delivers a top-drawer anthem in the personal 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength', and lead single 'Million Dollar Bill' was written by Alicia Keys and is a classic two-step, foot tapping summer anthem.
Whitney Houston has sold an incredible 134 million albums, 11 million in the UK alone. Little wonder then that 'I Look To You' is one of the most anticipated albums of this or any other year.
